This initiative is in response to recent events in St. Anthony, Minnesota; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Dallas, Texas.

The meetings will be held Tuesday, July 19, at the Silver Spring Civic Building at 7 p.m. and on Wednesday July 20, at 7 p.m. at the Upcounty Regional Services Center in Germantown.  Participating in the discussion will be the Montgomery County branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the Office of Human Rights, the Faith Community Working Group, and the Montgomery County Police Department.

These meetings have the full support of the Montgomery County Human Rights Commission, the Committee on Hate Violence and the Black Minister’s Conference. All are invited to join the important dialogue at these meetings.
