Leggett Welcomes Regional Task Force Members to Montgomery County Human Trafficking Task Force Regional Conference

County Executive Isiah Leggett will welcome regional task force members who are coming together to identify ways to work together in preventing and prosecuting human trafficking. Attendees will include representatives from Frederick County, Howard County, Montgomery County, Northern Virginia, Prince George’s County and Washington, D.C.

9:15–11:20 AM  Speakers include:  County Executive Isiah Leggett, Maryland Senator Susan Lee, Chair of the Montgomery County Human Trafficking Task Force Bobbe Mintz, and Director, UMD’s B.A. program in Criminology and Criminal Justice Wendy Stickle.

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM   Luncheon speakers include: Montgomery County Councilmember Craig Rice, Chair of Montgomery County Human Trafficking Legislative Committee Andrea Nunez, and Cook County Sheriff’s Office Human Trafficking Coordinator Marian Hatcher.

3:15 – 3:30 PM   Closing session speakers include: Ayuda, Inc.’s Anti-Trafficking Program Coordinator Amanda Persad and Director for Trauma Services, Victim Assistance and Sexual Assault Program and Abused Persons Program Nadja Cabello.
