2016 Montgomery County Procurement Forum A Showcases Public and Private Sector Contract Opportunities

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, October 4, 2016

The 2016 Montgomery County Procurement Forum will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Building at 1 Veterans Place in Downtown Silver Spring. This event, hosted by the Office of Procurement, will feature more than 50 panelists and speakers and 20 exhibitors. Over 400 vendors have registered for the forum.

“The County continues to champion opportunities that support our diverse businesses and enrich the lives of all our residents,” said Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett. “This forum will provide the kind of information and access to enable local, small, minority-owned and woman-owned businesses to participate in contracting opportunities with the public sector and the private sector."

“The Montgomery County Procurement Forum is one part of our outreach efforts,” said Procurement Director Cherri Branson. “As we increase the number of businesses who want to participate in government contracting opportunities, we can increase competition.”

Along with an exhibitor’s showcase, the Forum will feature local and regional government officials along with business leaders, breakout sessions and business development activities to guide participants in every aspect of county opportunities.
