Leggett to Make Announcement about new Ride On extRa Service; Bus to be Featured at County Fair

Standing in front of a new Ride On extRa vehicle, Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett will make an announcement about the new Ride On extRa service. He will be joined by Montgomery County Council President Roger Berliner, Montgomery County Councilmember George Leventhal and Department of Transportation Director Al Roshdieh.

Ride On extRa is limited-stop service that will run on MD 355 during peak hours, beginning October 2. Making just twelve stops, it will run every ten minutes during morning and evening rush between Lakeforest Transit Center in Gaithersburg and Medical Center Metro in Bethesda. Route 355 is Ride On’s highest ridership corridor and connects to half of the bus routes in the County. The vehicles will include Wi-Fi, USB ports, and padded seats.

Note to Editors: The Ride On extRa bus will be open to visitors.
