Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett will join County Councilmember Sidney Katz to kick off Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The campaign includes ads posted on Ride On buses and bus shelters, social media, and other public outreach throughout the month of October.

They will be joined by Police Chief J. Thomas Manger, Sheriff Darren M. Popkin, Assistant State’s Attorney Debbie Feinstein, and Cheryl Kravitz, a survivor and member of the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council.

Note to Editors:  If outdoors, the backdrop for this event will be a Ride On bus displaying the domestic violence awareness ad. If the event is held indoors, electronic screens will display bus shelter ads; the bus still will be outside.
