Leggett to Participate in Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for Public Libraries’ Quince Orchard Branch

Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to reopen the newly refreshed Montgomery County Public Libraries’ Quince Orchard Branch.  Leggett will be joined by Council President Hans Riemer, Councilmembers Sidney Katz and George Leventhal, Acting Director of Montgomery County Public Libraries Anita Vassallo, General Services Director David Dise, Quince Orchard Library Manager James Stewart and Quince Orchard Friends of the Library President Dawn Fairbanks.

 

The improvements to the library included new flooring and painting throughout the building, renovated public restrooms, improved book checkout and customer service area, a new book drop, LED lighting, enhancements to the meeting room, modern furniture and workstations in public and workroom areas, motorized shades, and exterior accessibility (ADA) improvements to the grounds and parking lot and a new bike rack at the entrance.

 

The library will open immediately following the ceremony.
