Montgomery County Weekly Media Briefing Will Focus on Juvenile Justice Issues & Social Media Concerns Among Youth

This week Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich is in India on an economic mission. Chief Administrative Officer Rich Madaleno will take his place, delivering the weekly update and answering media questions during this week’s virtual media briefing happening Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 12:30 p.m.

He will be joined by Montgomery County Police Department Chief Marcus Jones to discuss juvenile justice issues. He’ll also talk about recent efforts by the county executive’s office to help free up money to address concerns tied to kids and social media.

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss important issues with key members of the County government. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] by 10:30 a.m. on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.

If you are not a member of the media and/or cannot gain access to participate, the briefing can be viewed live on the County's Facebook page and County Cable Montgomery at Comcast/RCN Channel 6 and HD Channel 996 or Verizon Channel 30.
