For Immediate Release: Wednesday, January 3, 2024
Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will hold his weekly virtual media briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3.
This week he will focus on the impact of rising respiratory illnesses across Maryland and in our community. He’ll discuss new guidelines for medical facilities recently recommended by the Maryland Department of Health, which include facemask recommendations for places like doctor’s offices and retirement homes. The County Executive will be joined by Ruthie Fishman from Cedar Creek Memory Care Homes to highlight one of our local long term health care facilities prioritizing COVID-19, flu and RSV vaccinations to better protect its staff and residents.
The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss important issues with key members of the County government. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] by 10:30 a.m. on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
