For Immediate Release: Wednesday, January 17, 2024
Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will hold his weekly virtual media briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17.
This week he will focus on the strong response the entire government showed ahead of and following this week’s winter weather. Montgomery County remains in a ‘Cold Emergency Alert’ meaning the cold temperatures still pose a danger to those exposed for too long outside. This week he’ll be joined by Montgomery County Department of Transportation Director Chris Conklin.
The County Executive will also focus on the importance of the newly-released Capital Improvement Program budget and how it will impact Montgomery County well into the future in a number of key areas.
The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss important issues with key members of the County government. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] by 10:30 a.m. on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
If you are not a member of the media and/or cannot gain access to participate, the briefing can be viewed live on the County's Facebook page and County Cable Montgomery at Comcast/RCN Channel 6 and HD Channel 996 or Verizon Channel 30.
