Montgomery County Weekly Media Briefing Set for Wednesday, April 3 at 2 p.m. to Focus on Teen Mental Health & Food Waste Prevention

Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will have the opportunity to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing on Wednesday, April 3 at 2 p.m.

The County Executive will discuss the upcoming “Care Be Aware” campaign, which will be part of Teen Mental Health Week. He will also discuss the public safety update being held Wednesday morning in Downtown Silver Spring and talk about food waste prevention efforts in the County as we begin Earth Month. This week's guest will be:

  • Anita Vassallo, director, Montgomery County Public Libraries

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and important issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'connor@montgomerycountymd.gov by noon on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
