Montgomery County Weekly Media Briefing Set for Wednesday, April 10, to Focus on Affordable Housing & Proposed FY25 Operating Budget

Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will be able to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing on Wednesday, April 10, at 12:30 p.m.

The County Executive will discuss how Montgomery County prioritizes efforts and funding toward producing, preserving, and protecting affordable housing. He’ll talk about the cooperation and partnership on affordable housing seen at the state level during the recently ended Maryland General Assembly Session. The County Executive will also discuss his proposed fiscal year 2025 operating budget. This week's guest will be:

  • Jake Day, Secretary, Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development 

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'connor@montgomerycountymd.gov by 10:30 a.m. on the briefing day. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
