Montgomery County Executive Elrich and Councilmember Marilyn Balcombe to Join Montgomery GreenFest in Germantown on Saturday, April 27

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, County Councilmember Marilyn Balcombe, County Department of Environmental Protection Director Jon Monger, County Climate Officer Sarah Kogel-Smucker and other community leaders will join the ninth annual celebration of the environment, GreenFest, on Saturday, April 27 at BlackRock Center for the Arts. 

The center is located at 12901 Town Commons Dr. in Germantown. Greenfest will run from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The elected officials are expected to be at the event around 12:30 p.m. 

The free festival will feature more than 50 eco-conscious vendors showcasing green businesses and environmental nonprofit organizations. Entertainment will include Latin American Folkloric dance performances, community Zumba, music, scavenger hunt, face painting, nature walks and games for all ages.
