Montgomery County to Honor Recipients of 25th Annual Recycling Achievement Awards on Wednesday, May 22, in Rockville

Montgomery County's 25th Annual Recycling Awareness Week will be highlighted on Wednesday, May 22, with its Achievement Recognition Ceremony at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Rockville.


The event will honor individuals, multi-family properties, businesses, organizations and government facilities for their outstanding achievements in waste reduction, reuse and recycling.  


Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Director Jon Monger will lead the celebration from noon-2 p.m. The Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center is located at 5701 Marinelli Rd. in Rockville. 


Recycling Awareness Week showcases the community's achievements in recycling and highlights efforts to help the County achieve its goal of reducing waste and recycling, ultimately aiming for zero waste.  

The awardees will be announced at the ceremonies. At the conclusion of the event, the names of those to be honored and descriptions of their achievements will be distributed.
