For Immediate Release: Monday, April 7, 2025

The 12th Annual Montgomery County Energy Summit will open on Tuesday, April 8, at the Silver Spring Civic Building. The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection hosts this two-day event, which helps prepare the building community to explore strategies for enhanced building energy performance that go beyond benchmarking.

The Silver Spring Civic Building is located at 1 Veterans Place in Downtown Silver Spring. The event is open to the media.

The first-day features sessions focused on technical support, financing, and incentives for building improvements. Day two will include an address from County Executive Marc Elrich and a keynote speech by renowned architect and sustainability expert Carl Elefante, former American Institute of Architects president and author of the forthcoming book Going for Zero: Decarbonizing the Built Environment on the Path to Our Urban Future.
