Congressman Jamie Raskin, Governor Wes Moore and Comptroller Brooke Lierman to Join Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich at the 50th Annual Public Safety Awards Breakfast

Congressman Jamie Raskin, Governor Wes Moore and Comptroller Brooke Lierman will join Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, members of the County Council and leaders from the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce at the 50th Annual Public Safety Awards Breakfast. Senior officials from the County’s public safety agencies also will participate in the event. The ceremony is co-sponsored by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and Montgomery County Government.

The names of the award recipients, including those receiving the Valor Awards, and details of the incidents being recognized will be announced during the event. The Public Safety Awards Breakfast is the largest event of its kind in the region and marks the first in-person gathering since the COVID-19 pandemic. Honorees were nominated and selected by Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, the Department of Police, the Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation, the Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, and the Maryland-National Capital Park Police—Montgomery County Division.
