County Executive Marc Elrich to Sign Federal Worker Hiring Preference on Thursday, July 24 at Noon

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will be joined by County Council Vice President Will Jawando, the bill’s sponsor, bill cosponsors Council President Kate Stewart, Councilmembers Andrew Friedson, Kristin Mink, Laurie-Anne Sayles and Marilyn Balcombe, Worksource Montgomery Executive Director Anthony Featherstone,  representatives of the federal employee union and affected workers for a bill signing ceremony for Expedited Bill 10-25, Personnel and Human Resources-Hiring Displaced Federal Workers. On July 15, the County Council unanimously passed the legislation to create a preference for displaced federal workers.
