Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich to Announce $10 Million Investment in Early Childhood Education

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will be joined by Montgomery County Council President Kate Stewart, Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Thomas Taylor, and early childhood education professionals to announce a $10 million investment in several new initiatives aimed at expanding and enhancing early childhood education in Montgomery County.

These initiatives include the expansion of Head Start services to children 0-3 years, along with new programs designed to increase access to high-quality learning and support local child care providers. These efforts are a direct response to a recent study identifying significant gaps in local child care services, particularly for infants and toddlers in underserved communities.
