Montgomery County's Weekly Media Briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, to Focus on Holiday Safety and Things to Highlight in 2026

Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County leaders questions will be able to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30. Chief Administrative Officer Rich Madaleno will be filling in for County Executive Marc Elrich, who is not available.

Mr. Madaleno is scheduled to have Montgomery County Police Department Assistant Chief David McBain and Assistant Chief Chase Fabrizio, Division of Operations for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service as his guests to talk about safety around New Year’s Eve and other public safety efforts.

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'connor@montgomerycountymd. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
