Montgomery County Salutes a Dedicated Public Safety Professional

Montgomery County Police Lieutenant Thomas B. Jacocks retired on December 1 after a 61-year career with the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD). He retires as the longest-serving member of law enforcement at a single agency in the State of Maryland. Lt. Jacocks joined the force in July of 1955 when Eisenhower was president and the County had 200,000 residents. He retires at the age of 84. As Chief Tom Manger presented him with his retirement badge, the Chief said, "Lieutenant Jacocks never lost his passion for his profession and his service to the residents of Montgomery County." What's next? This humble local legend will continue to serve the County as a volunteer with the MCPD. Thank You, Sir!
