150 Years Young!

The Town of Poolesville is celebrated the 150th Anniversary of its incorporation as a municipality in Montgomery County and the State of Maryland. Poolesville has a rich history in Montgomery County extending back to the 1740s and the early years of the County when settlers established farmsteads in the area that would become the town bearing the name of one of those early settlers, the Poole family. Poolesville’s history of agriculture, small business, and thriving small town character survives to this day, continuing to influence its direction and growth.
