Members of several organizations that work with people with autism joined members of the Montgomery County Council on April 4 to recognize Autism Awareness Month. LaLynn Prince of the Madison House Autism Foundation spoke at the ceremonies in Rockville that included representatives from Community Services for Autistic Adults and Children, Kids Enjoy Exercise Now and the Partnership for Extraordinary Minds and Optimal Begins. Councilmember Craig Rice spoke on behalf of the Council. This year’s national theme focuses on programs for people with autism after they reach age 21.
