TEACHER OF THE YEAR

Sean Pang, a sixth-year English teacher at Rockville High School, on May 2 talked to the Montgomery County Council about the dedication and commitment to his students that recently earned him recognition by The Washington Post as Montgomery County Teacher of the Year. He arrived in the U.S. from Hong Kong at age 6, knowing little English, but now teaches in the same school system that helped him learn a new language.
