Lunar New Year Celebrations Continue

The seventh annual Chinese Lantern Festival was held at Gaithersburg High School. The Festival included a marketplace with traditional Chinese street foods and a gala of cultural performances. The County’s Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Lily Qi and the County’s Asian Liaison Diane Vu presented a Lunar New Year proclamation on behalf of County Executive Ike Leggett. To Deming Zhang who is the vice president and director of the Cultural Exchange Department of the Coordination Council of Chinese American Associations of Greater Washington.
