44th Annual Public Safety Awards

The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce celebrated County public safety professionals at the 44th Annual Public Safety Awards Luncheon. Sixteen Valor awards, 4 Unit Citations, and one Community Service Award were presented. County Executive Ike Leggett was named the Public Safety Champion of the Year. This year the investigators that brought closure to the 1975 Lyon Sister's disappearance were honored. Members of the Montgomery County Police Department, Fire and Rescue Service, and Department of Correction and Rehabilitation received awards.
