Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett delivered remarks at Citizenship and Legal Immigration Resource Fair at Montgomery Blair High School. The executive addressed recent decisions of the federal government concerning immigration policies pertaining to Temporary Protection Status and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. During the fair residents interested in becoming a citizen of the United States were able to meet with citizenship and legal immigration service providers as part of the County’s Citizenship Initiative to reach out to people in the County who are eligible to become citizens.
