Grace Jo

Councilmember Craig Rice presented a proclamation on behalf of the Council to Grace Jo, a student at Montgomery College who escaped North Korea with her family. She started NKinUSA, a nonprofit organization that raises awareness about the human rights crisis in North Korea and helps to facilitate escape and resettlement for North Korean refugees. Through her outreach and efforts to make the plight of her fellow North Koreans known, Ms. Jo is truly making a difference. Watch the proclamation
