Saving Money and the Environment

Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett was joined by the County's Office of Human Resources Director Shawn Stokes and Department of Environmental (DEP) Acting Director Patty Bubar to recognize the County’s DEP Division of Solid Waste Management for generating a documented savings in the “Excess Inventory Reuse System” through the Rewarding Excellence Program. A total savings of $24,234.32 was documented for the one-year implementation period. Seven employees received checks for one-half of the savings and for a gross amount of $1,731.02.
