Gudelsky Institute for Technical Education

Councilmember Craig Rice presented a proclamation on behalf of the Council celebrating the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Homer S. Gudelsky Institute for Technical Education (GITE) of Montgomery College. Since its inception GITE has added 218 classes and nearly tripled its enrollment, providing students with work training, college preparation and other valuable life skills and preparing them to adapt to a changing economy. The Council was joined for the proclamation by Dr. Steve Cain, Montgomery College Chief of Staff and Chief Strategy Officer; George Payne, Vice President and Provost; Ed Roberts, Dean of Gudelsky Institute; Patrick Devlin; Fred Howell; Debra Anderson; Michael Carreta; Eric Jeffers; Dallas Davenport; Moye Stevenson and Scott Goldsworthy.
