Department of Liquor Control Opens Newly-Renovated Flower Avenue Store

For Immediate Release: Monday, October 20, 2014

In an effort to better serve its customers, the Montgomery County Department of Liquor Control (DLC) has relocated its Flower Avenue store to new, renovated space across the street at 8706-B Flower Avenue in Silver Spring. It is one of 25 DLC retail establishments.

“The new store, with its upgrades and improvements will better serve the entire community when it opens today,” said DLC Director George Griffin. “We look forward to welcoming our customers as we celebrate the opening of this new store with giveaways of food and wine pairing wheels, beverage openers, corkscrews and wine gift bags.”

The renovated and remodeled space is fully ADA accessible and all new energy efficient lighting was installed. The 3,300 square foot store is managed by Josh Asress, a DLC employee for more than 15 years.
