Statement of Montgomery County Council President George Leventhal
On the Passing of Nancy Dacek

Montgomery County Council President George Leventhal made the following statement after former three-term Councilmember Nancy Dacek passed away on January 12:
"All of us were saddened to learn that Nancy Dacek passed away this afternoon. Nancy served on the County Council with great distinction for three terms, from 1990 to 2002, following many years as a citizen leader on education issues. She later served ably as Chair of the County Board of Elections.
"Nancy was an outstanding public servant. Her decency, her common sense approach to all issues and her good humor all enriched our community. Her loving family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers."
