Montgomery County Recreation Indoor Aquatic Centers to Close for Annual Maintenance

For Immediate Release: Monday, August 15, 2016

Montgomery County Recreation’s indoor aquatic facilities will be closing on a staggered schedule for annual maintenance beginning today.  

 

The Olney Swim Center, located at 16605 Georgia Avenue, will be closed for annual cleaning and maintenance Monday, August 15 through Sunday, August 28.

 

The Germantown Indoor Swim Center, located at 18000 Central Park Circle, Boyds, will be closed for annual cleaning and maintenance Saturday, August 20 through Monday, September 5.

 

The Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Indoor Swim Center, located at 1201 Jackson Road, Silver Spring and the Kennedy Shriver Aquatic Center, located at 5900 Executive Boulevard, No. Bethesda will be closed for their annual cleaning and maintenance Monday, August 22 through Monday, September 5.

 

During this time, Montgomery County Recreation’s seven outdoor pools will be open daily through September 5. For locations and hours of operation, please visit our outdoor pools page.  Early bird lap swimming will be available Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. at the Germantown, MLK and Bethesda Outdoor Pools during the indoor pool closures.
