Public Invited to Community Conversation About Access, Affordability and Quality of Early Care and Education in Montgomery County

For Immediate Release: Thursday, September 8, 2016

Parents, child care providers, teachers, business owners and residents are invited to a community conversation to set goals and suggest timelines to improve access, affordability and quality of early care and education programs throughout Montgomery County.

 

The two meetings will be held on Thursday, September 22 at the Germantown Library, located at 19840 Century Boulevard and on Wednesday, September 28 at the Silver Spring Civic Building, located at 1 Veterans Plaza.  Sessions will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Child care for children six years old and younger is available at the Silver Spring location. 

 

Light refreshments will be served.  Professional Activity Units (PAU) will be offered to child care providers.

The conversations are sponsored by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Early Childhood Services and Otero Strategy Group LLP, and will be used to develop an Early Care and Education strategic plan for the county.
