Montgomery County Recreation is hosting the following safe, fun-filled, family-friendly events this Halloween season. All activities are free unless otherwise noted:
Friday, October 21:Harvest Fest Family Movie Night

Family members of all ages can come and enjoy a family-friendly movie: "Open Season 4, Scared Silly." Hot dogs, drinks and popcorn will be served. Come make your own candy bags while enjoying a fun-filled, not so scary movie. Register at www.ActiveMONTGOMERY.org, activity number 27865.
October 21, 22, 28 and 29:Haunted Forest

For ages 13 and up. This is the last year to explore the chasms within the woods, those dark corners covered in cob webs that unearth one's greatest fears with the only streams of light coming from within. Heartbeats are elevated, as the eardrums indicate the plot is thickening and your mind races to understand what is in front of you. Join us for a teen and adult theatrical evening in the wooded area amongst the tormented characters we all want to escape. $13 per person.
October 26:“Spellbound: The Count and the Coven”

Grandparents together with grandkids come dressed for the party and enjoy the fun and games lined up for the evening.
October 27:Halloween Luncheon

Celebrate Halloween, enjoy a delicious luncheon and dance to the music of Anna Pappas “A Class Act.” Cost for the meal is $7 for ages 55-59, donations requested for 60+.
October 28: Halloween Party and Parade

For children five and under. Have a blast wearing your favorite costume and marching in our annual Halloween parade. We’ll have face painting, games, prizes and goodie bags. Bring a lunch.

October 29: Enchanted Forest Dance

For ages 15 & up with disabilities. It’s time for our annual Halloween costume dance. Come to our very own enchanted forest, dressed as your favorite character. October 31: Halloween Party

Come in a costume, or just come as you are. Entertainment presented by Dick Kaufmann and the Glenn Pearson Trio. Lunch provided through the nutrition program. Pre-registration required. Cost for lunch is $5.49 for ages 55-59, donations are requested for ages 60+.
