County Cable Montgomery video

on Marriott announcement and proposed

Bethesda Downtown Sector Plan

ROCKVILLE, Md., October 18, 2016—The announcement today by Marriott International that it would locate its new headquarters, and a 200-room hotel, in Downtown Bethesda came on the same day that the Montgomery County Council began its review of the proposed Bethesda Downtown Sector Plan. A video summing up today’s news was produced by County Cable Montgomery (CCM), the County’s cable television station.

The video includes interviews with Council President Nancy Floreen and Vice President Roger Berliner.

The video also includes a segment of a previous interview with J.W. (Bill) Marriott, Jr., the executive chairman and chairman of the board of Marriott International, Inc., that appeared in the CCM show Made in Montgomery. In that segment, Mr. Marriott talked about why it was important for the Fortune 500 company to be located in Montgomery County.

The video, which runs for two minutes, was created by producer/reporter Susan Kenedy and videographer/editor Mike Springirth.
