High School Teens Invited to Join Teen Advisory Group for Public Libraries

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, October 19, 2016

Montgomery County Public Libraries is recruiting high school students for its Teen Advisory Group (TAG).

Teens, ages 14 to 18, who want their voices heard when it comes to teen library services are encouraged to apply. TAG influences library services, programs, and collections and is a valuable asset to Libraries.

Teens who like to read, write, or are interested in possibly interviewing authors and public officials are encouraged to apply.  Teens who are interested in doing social media and video productions should also consider applying.

Registration is available online.  The deadline for submitting an application is November 2.

Those who are accepted in the program will serve from December 2016 to May 2017 and will meet monthly, plus work independently or in small groups as needed.

More details are available at on the Teensite or by emailing teensite@montgomerycountymd.gov.  For information on the program contact Alessandro Russo at 240-773-9515 or Maura Williams at 240-773-9590.
