For Immediate Release: Tuesday, January 3, 2017
Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett is holding the first two FY18 budget forums for public input on Monday, January 9 and Wednesday, January 11. Both forums will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
“Public forums are the residents’ opportunity to let me know what is important to them as I prepare next year’s operating budget for submission to the County Council on March 15,” said County Executive Leggett. “Input from residents for the FY18 budget is crucial in helping me determine the County’s budget priorities.”
The January 9 forum will be held at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center located at 4805 Edgemoor Lane in Bethesda.
The January 11 forum will take place at the Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center located at 3300 Briggs Chaney Road in Silver Spring.
The County Executive will announce his Recommended FY18 Operating Budget on March 15. The County Council then provides its input and gives final approval of the operating budget at the end of May.
