Getting input from the public about their experiences with Ride On helps MCDOT improve service. And, it's always great to hear what we are doing right. Ride On regularly gets compliments from residents. Below are some of these compliments from the week of January 13:

“I wish to pass on a compliment for Ride-on Bus Operator 'Dory,' Route 97 Germantown. Yesterday, January 12, 2017, late afternoon about 5:00 p.m., I witnessed several acts of kindness she demonstrated during the ride. The first was her care to stop at a stop on upper Wisteria Drive as she could see three teenage boys running desperately to make it to the stop. She took those 2 seconds to wait for them at the stop, so they could catch the bus, without delaying her schedule, as she was running on time. They were so encouraged to see how kind she had been. Similarly, farther down Wisteria, there was a woman and her little girl were running to make the bus stop on time. Once again, aware she was still running on time, she stopped, so they could catch bus. Again, smiles and thank you’s were exchanged passing on kind human spirit which can be contagious as customers of various ages observed. She's a patient, efficient, driver who values people and her job, an asset to Ride-On Services. Dory makes the difference! You go girl!"

Caller complimented Ride On for making a bus stop along Route 97  (Bus Stop – 27722) accessible so she can now use it.

“I was lost at Rockville station and there wasn't any other bus at the bays but this one (Bus #5826). I knocked on the door and the bus driver was SO nice! He helped me figure out what bus I was supposed to be taking and at what time! He even walked me over to the bus stop. I didn't realize the bus was running on a holiday schedule. He was so nice and I really appreciate that he took the time to help me out while he was on break! Love you guys!”

A customer offered her compliments and special appreciation to Ride On for the lighting at a bus stop on Route 15. She stated that this route offers the most reliable service in the system and she thanked Ride On for being there for the County residents.

We appreciate hearing from our riding public. If you want to provide input, call 311, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or make a comment online anytime.
