to meet with media on Monday, Feb. 6

Among the issues he will address are restating the

County’s policies regarding immigration,

the Bethesda Downtown Plan’s impact on schools,

minimum wage pre-emption bill being

considered by the General Assembly

 

ROCKVILLE, Md., February 3, 2017—Montgomery County Councilmember Roger Berliner will meet with members of the media at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, to discuss key issues concerning the Council and its respective committees. Among the issues he will talk about are the efforts of the Council and County Executive Isiah Leggett to reaffirm that the County has not changed its long-standing policies regarding the welcoming of immigrants. He also will address the proposed Bethesda Downtown Plan and its potential impact on schools and other infrastructure in that area.

 

Council President Berliner’s meeting with members of the media will be held in the SIXTH FLOOR Conference Room of the Council Office Building at 100 Maryland Ave. in Rockville.

 

Other issues he will talk about include the bill being considered by the Maryland General Assembly regarding minimum wage authority throughout the state. He also will discuss an upcoming County announcement on the microgrid.

 

Council President Berliner will meet regularly with members of the media. Most meetings will be on Mondays.
