Montgomery Council President Berliner
to meet with media on Monday, Feb. 13
Among the issues he will address are updates from
the Maryland General Assembly regarding minimum wage,
immigration and the scoring program for road projects;
the Bethesda Plan’s impact on
transportation and schools; food insecurity plan
ROCKVILLE, Md., February 10, 2017—Montgomery County Councilmember Roger Berliner will meet with members of the media at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, to discuss key issues concerning the Council and its respective committees. Among the issues he will talk about are updates on the status of bills before the Maryland General Assembly regarding the minimum wage, immigration and the program to score road projects for priorities. He also will address the proposed Bethesda Downtown Plan and its potential impact on transportation and schools.
Council President Berliner’s meeting with members of the media will be held in the SIXTH FLOOR Conference Room of the Council Office Building at 100 Maryland Ave. in Rockville.
Councilmember Berliner also will talk about a new Food Insecurity Plan the County will be introducing next week. The plan would take a major step in helping County families who do not earn enough to provide themselves with regular meals.
Council President Berliner will meet regularly with members of the media. Most meetings will be on Mondays.
