Montgomery Council President Berliner

to meet with media on Monday, Feb. 27

Among the issues he will address are updates from

the General Assembly regarding proposed legislation

for immigration policy, traffic controls;

also transportation issues for Bethesda Plan

 

ROCKVILLE, Md., February 24, 2017—Montgomery County Councilmember Roger Berliner will meet with members of the media at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, to discuss key issues concerning the Council and its respective committees. Among the issues he will talk about are updates on the status of bills before the Maryland General Assembly regarding immigration policies and local traffic control devices. He also will address the proposed Bethesda Downtown Plan and its potential impact on transportation.

 

Council President Berliner’s meeting with members of the media will be held in the SIXTH FLOOR Conference Room of the Council Office Building at 100 Maryland Ave. in Rockville.

 

The Council’s Planning, Housing and Economic Development Committee on Monday afternoon will be addressing how to balance transportation needs with the proposed increase in density for the Bethesda Downtown Plan.

 

Council President Berliner will meet regularly with members of the media. Most meetings will be on Mondays.
