to meet with media on Monday, March 20

Among the issues he will address are

the recommended FY18 County operating budget,

how proposed federal budget

could impact Montgomery and Purple Line

 

ROCKVILLE, Md., March 17, 2017—Montgomery County Councilmember Roger Berliner will meet with members of the media at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 20, to discuss key issues concerning the Council and its respective committees. At the meeting, he will offer his thoughts regarding the County’s Fiscal Year 2018 recommended operating budget that County Executive Ike Leggett released on March 14. He also will talk about how President Trump’s proposed federal operating budget could impact Montgomery County and the future Purple Line.

 

Council President Berliner’s meeting with members of the media will be held in the SIXTH FLOOR Conference Room of the Council Office Building at 100 Maryland Ave. in Rockville.

 

Council President Berliner will address the County’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) plan. He also will talk about the Planning, Housing and Economic Development Committee’s continued worksessions on the Bethesda Downtown Plan. On Monday, the committee is scheduled to hold a worksession on the issues of transportation and staging (requirements that certain infrastructure be in place before development could begin).

 

Council President Berliner will meet regularly with members of the media. Most meetings will be on Mondays.
