May 6 Event to Benefit Tree House Child Advocacy Center

Join cyclists of all ages and abilities at the fifth annual Tree House Tour de Cookie, a 12, 27 or 43-mile bicycle ride on Saturday, May 6 to benefit The Tree House Child Advocacy Center.  The Tree House is a public-private partnership dedicated to reducing trauma and promoting healing for child victims of physical and sexual abuse, and neglect.

 

The event begins at 8 a.m. at the Johns Hopkins University Montgomery County Campus in Rockville.  Participants will ride between cookie stands hosted by local clubs and organizations, collecting and enjoying cookies along the way. Riders will receive a cinch bag.  Individuals registering by April 17th will receive a collectible t-shirt. An award will go to the best cookie stand.  Back again this year is a ØK Stroll, a walk of 906 feet to The Tree House cookie stand and back.

 

Following the ride, a community expo will be held with exhibits, entertainment and activities for children and families. There will be food for purchase.
