Montgomery County Council to hold public hearing on April 25 regarding proposed creation of Employee Benet Trusts group trust

PUBLIC HEARING

 

 

The Montgomery County Council will hold a public hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, on Expedited Bill 11-17 that would create a group trust to permit the County's employee benefit trusts to invest through one vehicle to create investment opportunities and efficiencies. It also would generally amend the law regarding the Employees' Retirement System, Retirement Savings Plan, Deferred Compensation Plan and Consolidated Retiree Health Benefits Trust.

 

The public hearing will be held in the Third Floor Hearing Room of the Council Office Building, which is located at 100 Maryland Avenue in Rockville. The meeting will be televised live by County Cable Montgomery (CCM) on Cable Channels 996 (high definition) and 6 (standard definition) on Comcast; Channels 1056 (HD) and 6 (SD) on RCN; and Channel 30 on Verizon. It also will be available live via streaming through the Council web site at http://tinyurl.com/z9982v8
