Parents Invited to Free Presentations to Learn About Adolescent Development and Substance Abuse Prevention

Parents of teens are invited to attend free presentations on healthy adolescent development topics such as promoting positive attitudes, preventing behavioral issues and proactive prevention of substance abuse.  The sessions are held on the first and third Wednesday of the month from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. in Rockville.  A group for Spanish- speaking parents meets on the second Wednesday of the month from 6 to 7 p.m.

 

Presentations are led by mental health professionals from Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Services (CABHS), part of Behavioral Health and Crisis Services in the Department of Health and Human Services.

 

The groups will meet at CABHS, located at 7300 Calhoun Place, Suite 700, Rockville.  The office is accessible by Ride On Route 59.
