Montgomery County Recreation Hosts Fun Halloween Activities

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, October 11, 2017

Montgomery County Recreation is hosting several Halloween events around the county this month. From a masquerade dance to a monster bash to a haunted house, these are fun activities for residents to celebrate the Halloween season and many of the events are free.


Saturday, October 21: Halloween Costume Jam  

Gwendolyn E. Coffield Community Recreation Center

12 – 2 p.m.

For K - 5th grade, music, games, line dancing, face painting, photo booth and moon bounce. Register online at Active Montgomery,  activity number 40705. Free.

 

Friday, October 27: Halloween a Holiday Park Classic

Holiday Park Senior Center

3950 Ferrara Drive, Wheaton

1-3 p.m.

Come in costume, your dancing shoes, and have lots of fun. Pre-purchase your tickets today, $6 at the door, $4 with HPSI card.

Friday, October 27:  Halloween Happening

Marilyn J. Praisner Community Recreation Center

6:30-8:30 p.m.

For ages 12 and under. Carnival games, prizes, crafts, music, tricks and treats. Parents are asked to donate individually-wrapped, unopened bags of candy. Register online at Active Montgomery, activity number 40718. Free.

 

Friday, October 27: Halloween Haunted House

Join us for a haunting, fun-filled night. There will be games and fun activities, such as arts and crafts, games, music and prizes for the best costume. Registration online at Active Montgomery,  activity number 40360. Free.

Saturday, October 28: Halloween Masquerade

Holiday Park Senior Center

6 – 10 p.m.

For ages 15 and up with disabilities. Costumes recommended for this annual, Therapeutic Recreation Halloween dance. All dancers pay $10, pre-registration is encouraged. Register online at Active Montgomery, activity number 40290.

 

Tuesday, October 31: Halloween Luncheon and Anna Pappas “A Class Act”

Damascus Senior Center

The luncheon menu is available at the reception desk. Call for reservations. Price of the meal is $7 for ages 55- 59, for ages 60+ a donation is requested. Costumes are encouraged.

 

Tuesday, October 31: Halloween Party with Dick Kaufman
