Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett is holding FY19 budget forums on Monday, January 29, Tuesday, January 30, Wednesday, January 31, and Tuesday, February 6. to seek input from residents about Fiscal Year 2019 (FY19) Operating Budget priorities. The forums at the BlackRock Center for the Arts (for the Sidney Kramer Upcounty Regional Services Center, the Silver Spring Civic Building, and the Bethesda Chevy Chase Regional Services Center run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The forum at the Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center begins at 7:30 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m.
“Public forums are for residents to tell me what is important to them as I prepare next year’s operating budget for submission to the County Council on March 15,” said Leggett. “Input from residents for the FY19 budget is crucial in helping me determine the county’s budget priorities.”
The FY19 budget forums are scheduled as follows:
● Monday, January 29 – 7 p.m. – FY19 Operating Budget Forum,
BlackRock Center for the Arts (for the Sidney Kramer Upcounty Regional
Services Center), 12901 Town Commons Drive, Germantown
● Tuesday, January 30 – 7 p.m. – FY19 Operating Budget Forum, Silver
Spring Civic Building, One Veterans Place, Silver Spring
● Wednesday, January 31 – 7:30 p.m. – FY19 Operating Budget Forum,
Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center, 3300 Briggs Chaney
Road, Silver Spring
● Tuesday, February 6 – 7:30 p.m. – FY19 Operating Budget Forum,
Bethesda Chevy Chase Regional Services Center, 4805 Edgemoor Lane,
Bethesda
The County Executive will announce his Recommended FY19 Operating Budget on March 15.
The County Council approves the operating budget at the end of May. Sign language interpreter services will be provided only upon request with notice as far in advance as possible, but no less than 72 hours prior to the event.
