In October 2017, County Executive Ike Leggett sent a letter to WMATA General Manager Paul Wiedefeld requesting that all Red Line Metrorail trains continue through to the Shady Grove Station instead of alternating trains turning back at the Grosvenor Station. The Montgomery County Council, members of the County’s delegation to the Maryland General Assembly and residents also testified in favor of eliminating the turnbacks. |
