Montgomery County Recreation is pleased to announce auditions for the fifth annual MoCo’s Got Talent, a countywide talent competition for middle and high school students to showcase their talents in the visual and performing arts.

Auditions are open to all Montgomery County residents who are enrolled in middle or high school. 

Participants must register to audition in advance at ActiveMONTGOMERY.org, using one of the activity numbers listed below. Auditions will be held at five locations throughout the County on the dates listed below. After registering, participants must call 240-777-8080 to secure an audition time slot and to receive details about how to submit artwork.

There are three talent categories: Music, Dance and Visual Arts. Participants may enter more than one category. Groups and bands may register; however, all members must meet the eligibility requirements. Visual arts submissions are due by April 20.

The top performers from each audition will be invited to the semifinals on April 28. The top 12 finalists will perform at the MoCo’s Got Talent finale at The Fillmore Silver Spring on May 20. 

Prize packages will be awarded to the winner of each category and may include participation in the Silver Spring Summer Concert on July 5, and in the 2018 Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade on November 17.

MoCo's Got Talent serves as a platform for creative expression, inspiring young people to share their passion and reach high. The competition aims to promote the importance of the arts in the lives of youth with the hope of keeping the arts thriving across Montgomery County.
