Council President Riemer’s Comments

 on County Executive Leggett’s

 FY19 Recommended Operating Budget  

ROCKVILLE, Md., March 15, 2018—Montgomery County Council President Hans Riemer made the following comments today after County Executive Isiah Leggett transmitted his Fiscal Year 2019 recommended operating budget to the Council:  

“The Council thanks the Executive and his staff for their great work developing the Fiscal Year 2019 recommended operating budget.  This budget provides the Council with a clear blueprint for us to begin our work.     

“The Council’s budget process will continue for the next two months. We look forward to hearing what is important to our residents as we move through the budget process.”  

The Council’s public hearings on the operating budget are scheduled for April 10-12. Those interested in testifying at the public hearings can sign up online starting March 15 at http://tinyurl.com/hl3mpdx or by calling 240-777-7803. The Council also encourages residents to use #MoCoFY19 to communicate their views on the budget via social media.
