For Immediate Release: Monday, April 2, 2018
MCDOT will begin a project on or about April 16 to replace the Montevideo Road Bridge in Poolesville that will require two complete closures of the road, each of which will last for about five weeks.
During the first closure, crews will remove the existing bridge and erect a temporary bridge to accommodate traffic. Once the bridge is rehabilitated offsite, the road will be closed a second time to remove the temporary bridge and reinstall the rehabilitated bridge.
The project is expected to take about 10 months to complete.
